I think I can say with confidence that I frequent Digg’s Tacos more than any other place in College Park. The place offers several vegan options, but I always end up ordering my favorite: a veggie burrito bowl with no cheese. I don’t think I could ever get tired of it, and I personally think it is a better value than Chipotle or Freebird’s.
The staff at Digg’s told me that any item on the menu can be customized for a vegan customer. Any dish can be made vegan if you order it with the healthy veggies mix and request no cheese/butter/sour cream. During my visit, I found this was true for most everything on the menu, except for the burgers. I’d love to see a veggie black bean burger option in the future.
I truly appreciate how helpful Digg’s employees have been to me. They always make every effort to answer my questions. Beyond being helpful, the staff is attentive and considerate. One time, I ordered salsa and chips along with my regular veggie burrito bowl, and they were quick to inform me that the green salsa was not veg-friendly (it contains chicken stock, unfortunately). The salsa and chips typically comes with both green and red salsa, but in my case, they gave me two cups of red salsa. I wouldn’t have thought to even ask about the salsa ingredients, since salsa is usually vegan by default. I am glad they were so observant and thoughtful.

The only things I have yet to try are the tacos and the torta sandwich (the staff informed me that I should request the latter be made without butter). If you’ve been to Digg’s, what was your favorite dish? If you haven’t been, what are you looking forward to trying?
If you are wondering what else there is for vegans to eat at College Park, you can consider pizza, phở or froyo. Smiling Moose Deli and GRIP Mediterranean also have plentiful vegan options.
Note: Huge thanks to Digg’s Taco Shop for printing this post and pinning my review on the wall in their restaurant! What an honor…I also love that my vegan options listed were helpful to UTA students!
Hooray! I’m getting a little tired of both Chipotle’s and Freebirds, so I’ll be heading over to Digg’s soon.
Chicken stock in the green salsa? Just when you think you’ve heard it all.
Veggie bowl is my default order, but all your photos look yummy! 🙂
Yes! I much prefer Digg’s to Chipotle and Freebirds ^__^
I was pretty surprised to hear about the chicken stock. Good thing they warned me.
Thanks for checking out my review, Char!
Yummy! Will have to check this out next time I’m in Arlington!
