I always admire her empathy for humans and animals alike. 😍 She also doesn’t eat meat!! So we were veggie buddies during our trip to Africa. ❤️ . . Vast landscapes are essential for elephants to thrive in their natural behaviors, including socializing, foraging for vegetation, and traveling over 30 miles a day!!! 🐘 #captivitysucks #roamfree #freetoroam #worldtones #fuckzoos . . Seeing these majestic creatures roaming freely in their natural habitat was the experience of a lifetime. My heart was so full. I miss it so much! ❤️😭 . . There are too many delicious vegan options @dallasfarmersmarket these days, you need to bring a crew with you to try everything! Hellooo friends, it’s been a while! Hope you are all having a beautiful summer—finally I’m back from my EPIC trip! 😍 Missing my travels and I already miss the feeling of being away from the demands of daily life, but happy to be home, sweet home 🏡 . . What’s your favorite dish to come home to after lots of traveling?! 😄After traveling for a whole month, it was so nice to come home to a delicious bowl of pad thai from my dear sister, @maibananna! 😍 Noodles will always be my first choice after a long trip, preferably comforting noodle soup like phở, but pad thai was on the menu at Anna’s, and I was craving freshness! So thankful she took the time to drop this deliciousness at my house so I could come home to a lovely meal! 😍 I added sriracha, lots of lime and fresh mint from the garden! 🌿 . . I have soo many photos from my trips to Taiwan, Vietnam, Tanzania and Kenya! 🇹🇼 🇻🇳 🇹🇿 🇰🇪 I truly went around the world!! So grateful to have had this kind of trip after graduation; thank you to my mom for making it happen 😭😍 I’m currently curating and editing the African photos for an exhibit with my classmates, but hope to share more from my travels with you guys gradually over this summer! :) Connection in Africa was too weak for me to update IG regularly, but I was pretty deeply immersed in our design project anyway—now that I’m back, I’m excited to work on sharing our process soon in a video!!

Dear Vietnam, it was amazing to get to know you more over the past five days. Now that I am older, and have studied #landscaparchitecture, I feel like I can appreciate my heritage even more and take in more experiences in different layers. :) Thank you for the beautiful experiences and all the design inspiration. 🙏🏼 Can’t wait to come back! . . 📷 Photo by @cicixtran! Ok y’all, I lied 😅 my last meal in Vietnam (right before getting on the plane) was actually...a huge, final bowl of fresh lychee, aka trái vải! (Also ate a couple of my faves: mangosteens, lol). 😍 It felt like the first time I’ve truly had amazing lychees. . . I think I ate more lychees than anything else on this trip, lmao. My throat kind of hurts, since I ate so many...but #worthit ‘cause we don’t have the good shit in the US. 😩 . . In the US, the canned ones are good in their own way, I enjoy them a lot, but even in the past when I went to Vietnam, the fresh ones usually disappointed me and lacked aroma. 🤔 HOWEVER! These were particularly amazing because it’s currently #lycheeseason in Hà Nội. 😁 Truth: you haven’t had lychee until you’ve eaten it straight from the source. 🤗 Truly fresh lychee tastes divine and I’m so thankful our amazing, thoughtful tour guide gifted us with big bunches of this special fruit on our last day of tour! So sweet, my family and I appreciated him very much for taking care of us this past week! ☺️🙏🏼 . . PS: this may be my last post for a while bc in Africa I will have very limited, weak connection! Stay cool this summer, can’t wait to share stories about the rest of my trip later! 💚🙏🏼

Livin’ the cream 😌 . . 📍@osterbergicecream_vn 🍦 Creamy & fragrant elderflower + strawberry in a vegan waffle cone—yes, you read that right, the cone is vegan!!! 😍 Loved the fragrance of the elderflower so much, thanks for showing me this place and eating with me, @cicixtran!🍦I will miss chilling with you (literally) when I’m in Africa!!

“You can only get a meal this delicious at home.” - my aunt (she’s always right) 💚 . . My last meal in Vietnam with my family: bánh khọt & bánh xèo! AKA: savory Vietnamese mini pancakes + crepes, filled with tofu & mung beans. We enjoyed these bites with freshly julienned mango + cucumbers + dipping sauce. The flavor combo was 🔥🔥🔥 #vietstreetfood . . Both the mini pancakes and crepes are made with the same base ingredients (rice flour, coconut milk, turmeric, scallions), but their size and texture differ. The mini pancakes (bánh khọt) are thicker and have a richer, creamier mouthfeel in the center, while the crepes (bánh xèo) are thinner and have a lighter mouthfeel. Both are typically eaten wrapped in greens with Viet herbs and dipped in sweet & sour dipping sauce. 😍 . . Have you tried either of these? Are you #teambanhkhot or #teambanhxeo? I love both but having bánh khọt was very special because we don’t have that a lot in the U.S. Until last night, I hadn’t had it in years! It was a good last meal before heading to Tanzania 🇹🇿

Basic hotel breakfast, but make it #aesthetic~ 💁🏻‍♀️ “Omg? It was nothing special but how did it become so beautiful?” - my aunt 🤣🤣🤣 #foodstyling #practiceyourcraft . . Pictured: a fresh golden baguette 🥖 with some 🍊orange ginger jam—the jam was very unique, with orange zest and some tiny bright bites of ginger 🙌🏼 Also had 🍍 + 🍉 + ☕️ :) . Hope you’re having a simply beautiful day, friends! 💙🌿 I picked up this Vietnam pictorial mag at a hotel we stayed at and it’s giving me lots of inspiration!! I am obsessed. Will have to flip through it in stories sometime to share with you guys! 😍

Vịnh Hạ Long—a breathtaking place, steeped in ancient legends about dragons from the heavens, a golden turtle, and even star-crossed lovers. I absolutely love myths & tales, and unique landscapes, so learning more about this place & seeing it in person was fascinating. Btw, Hạ Long means descending dragon! 🐉 Dragons are key symbolic creatures in Vietnamese mythology. 😍 . . “To form this first rate wonder, nature only uses: stone and water.” - Nguyên Ngọc (Vietnamese writer) . . Did you know Hạ Long Bay is a #UNESCOworldheritagesite? It’s absolutely gorgeous, with thousands of limestone rock formations, various isles and caves (9,960, according to our tour guide)! Tbh, I could have spent the whole day out there, dreaming & sketching, but we were on a schedule. 😅
